Paul,
I use the posted recipe on the manufacturer’s site for it using Cheddite hulls and primers, guilandi wad from Ballistic Products. Works great for me.

I use Longshot in my 28ga loads too.
Keavin; That Federal hull is a straight wall hull as are the straight wall Rio's, Fiocchi and other Euro hulls I use. I am using the CB5034 HS wads meant for straight wall hulls. How do those CB 1034 wads do in your load as they are meant for tapered hulls Reason I asked is I have a boatload of those 1034's and would love to use them up.

Also use LGST for 28ga sporting and hunting load. See attached.

Thanks guy's, I knew the brain trust here would have the answers to my questions. Just hearing the great responses gives me confidence that Longshot is the way to go for me.
I like the recipe Chris posted using the AAHS hulls simply because I have a boatload of once fired AA hulls in both the old compression formed and HS versions. Now I need to shop around for the best deal on the powder and get busy cranking out some rounds. Thanks again to everyone---You're the best!! |
