That was an exceptional drake gadwall specimen - It has been many years since I have seen one with such plumage, and the sun provided a great picture! Thanks John D. for posting!
BTW - The gun is a 1916 VHE with 32" F/F tubes - straight grip - DT, splinter, pad -on the heavy 1 1/2" frame that I affectionately nicknamed "The Nightmare" as I had a very difficult time acquiring it.
