Default Another Graded Parker Without Engraving

I may have talked of this gun previously...

At a gun show in Manchester, NH this weekend I had the pleasure once again of inspecting this very nice DH 20 gauge with only VH engraving.
The barrels are Titanic Steel, the stamps on the action flats identify it as a DH with a 3 stamped as well, the checkering is all appropriate for a grade 3 as well.
Unfortunately I neglected to record the serial number.

Get the serial number next year. At that price, it will still be there

How can you make that statement Big D? It may have 32" barrels.

If it had 50" barrels, it is still overpriced IMHO

I will buy nice, original, grade 3, 20 gauge, 32" Parkers all day long at 7k despite their engraving style. To each his own I suppose.

At 7K if that's a 32" gun I'm with Reggie, I want it unless there is something going on with it that you cannot see in those pictures. Of course that could be a lot of things but you get my meaning. I will buy 32" 20 gauge DH guns with fluid steel barrels for 7K all day long as long as they are decent honest unabused guns without mechanical flaws.

Very interesting. I would think that it would have just been unengraved completely. Not down graded. I wonder what a letter may say.

Another example of something similar was a gun I owned that was a VH with a DH stock and guard on it. In that case, the letter stated that the owner of the gun returned a DH for restocking. And also ordered a new VH. He asked that the stock from the D be put on the V. And also the dims on the DH stock were altered some. Must be he liked the wood or was trying to save a buck.

It was noted in The Parker Story that a $25 credit was allowed on a Grade 7 if ordered with no engraving, but I don’t remember the year.
