Dove recipe
My wife came up with this recipe many years ago, and it is one of my favorites.
In a skillet with olive oil sauté' green peppers, onions, and sliced fresh mushrooms. Remove from skillet and allow to sit. Brown salted and peppered dove breasts in the remaining oil until almost cooked (be careful not to overcook), adding Worcestershire sauce as they simmer. Return the peppers, onions and 'shrooms to the pan with the doves, add 1/2 cup of a fruity white wine (Blue Nun is good), cover, and let simmer a couple minutes.
Serve over rice. Get ready for a savory delight.
