Default In need of repairs

My 16ga Ithaca has a problem, the Forend lug is separating from the barrels.
My first go to gunsmith, our own Brian, is too busy. Any recommendations as to whom I can send these barrels to? Shoot I can’t post the photo.
Thanks…

sounds like you need a barrel guy, how about John Hosford, or Mike Orlen, or Black Diamond gunsmithing

I “had” a VHE 12 that the forend lug came loose and I sent it to Giacamo they did a great job . Later I “had” a PH 8 gauge twist barrels that the forend lug fell off the barrels , I sent that one to Breck and he did a great job .

We’ve found Mike Orlen to be an excellent choice for screw in choke work and if my memory serves stock bending .

Rib and lug separation problems are typical of Ithaca SXS's.

Default Gunther Pfrommer

Hello Angel,

You have received many great suggestions,
I’ve used Gunter Pfrommer in Rocky Mount VA for repairs to a barrel fore end lug. I found his work to great, reasonably priced and the turn around time to be less than most smiths.
Let me know if you want his contact info.

Stan
