Default Get out and enjoy today!

I was diagnosed with Cancer Aug 28, due to shortness of breath, no pain. Getting ready to start Chemo next week but it can slip up on you. Considered in good health at 75 with 41 years military experience behind me and 4 retirements, quite a surprise. Just wanted to say Hello to everyone and tell you to stay healthy and if it doesn't feel right, go check it out. So, I am looking and hunting this season through our forum. Stay well my friends and enjoy every day!

I know two cancer patients, one a woman in her late 70s, diagnosed nine years ago, and another, a man age 71, diagnosed 27 years ago, both of whom at the time of diagnosis were estimated by medical professionals to live less than a year.

The woman opted for the maximal chemotherapy right away; the man went the other direction with alternative treatments and prayer. The man still works full time as a building contractor, and is an active outdoorsman.

For a multiplicity of health reasons, many of us are at the age where more poignantly than ever we have to appreciate what we still can do and not pine for what we can do no longer.

Alfred, let's start with a thank you for your service. We have never met, but I will say a prayer for you and your fight and recovery from this.
Keep your momentum, and remember that God has a plan.
