I did not bid because I was not sure the 16 GA barrels were Krieghoff.

To bring top dollar, a listing ought to have good pictures and be supported with an accurate and complete description. IMHO, this listing fell a bit short.

The 0076 numbering is not consistent with that I've seen. CSMC is the only other maker I am aware of.

I had my finger on the button to bid but just could not get around what looks like pitting on the chamber flats of the 16 gauge barrels. The weep hole looked kind of large too? Couple that with the "as is no return" and I wasn't taking a chance.

Someone did well or got stuck with a pig.

Good pics would have netted at least a grand or more over hammer price IMO.

The same seller also had a two barrel 20 gauge set that if memory serves sold for about $4800 if memory serves . https://www.gunbroker.com/item/953573570

It has been reported and discussed right here in this forum that the 16ga. barrel sets that CSMC offered to be fitted to Parker Reproductions were actually produced by Merkel. The 16ga. set depicted in the link that Tom posted above appear to be a Merkel-produced set.

I sent the seller a message the first day of the auction questioning the 16 Gauge Barrel and he /she never replied back so I had it on my watch list but that's all I did ! Watch

Its rather amazing that folks won't respond to questions on higher priced guns, but it seems to happen all the time. If they won't answer I just don't bid 99 percent of the time.
