Lightbulb Another great day with one of our Setters

Friday we took Callie out for some pheasant hunting. Danny Lawrence was our guest. Danny was instrumental in us obtaining Callie. She found 8 birds, worked close, quartered beautifully and retrieved every bird. Doesn’t get better than hunting with a Setter!!

That's a strikingly beautiful head on that dog -- must be a joy to watch work. I also like the tail position. I like my guns old and my dogs to remind me of "back in the day". It must be like stepping back in time to hunt with your dog and a vintage gun.

Great photos, Mike. She's a beautiful dog.

What make is that vest you have her in? Warmth or just brush protection? I'm looking for a good one for my setter.

Thanks,
Dave
