Default Austin smiled today

Went on a pheasant hunt in north east CT today with some friends. Decided to check one off the bucket list and shoot Austin Hogans hammergun. Well first bird up was dead in the air and that continued for the rest of the day 6 up and 6 down. I swear I could feel Austin's hand on my shoulder...

I have not shot my "Austin Gun" yet, but I am looking forward to it. For those who don't know, my "Austin Gun" is a rare P Grade 32" #3 frame 12 gauge lifter built by Parker Brothers deeply into the hammerless period. I don't know if it's the last lifter made, but it is one of the last and one of one or a few letter grade lifters.

I've never met Mr. Murphy, but I think you will have a better chance of seeing bacon with wings before you'll see pix from him

That's awesome, OP!! What a memorable day!
