Default Thanks to Major Waldron's

Don't think I'm too far off by saying thanks from everyone who participated today especially to Scott, Pete and Rick for setting up and "herding the wet cats with a thread" (direct verbatim quote quote from John Dunkle - for which I cannot be censured, banned or blocked?). It was a pleasure meeting everyone!! Great facility, great fun and even better people.

Pete - please donate any of my share of the pot to TARP in hopes of defraying some of our grandchildrens' debt.......oh, wait, nevermind, I don't think I deserved any winnings but, then again, neither did the TARP recipients so we're square.

Hi Jim and all...!

Just home and getting caught up - but, first - my thanks as well to Pete, Scott, Bob and all the folks who pulled this together! Simply a wonderful day... Also, a huge thank you to all that brought food, snacks, drinks, ammo, guns, hats, mittens, children, family, friends, AH Fox shotguns, Mossberg 500A shotguns, Beretta 686s, etc... I think I covered the waterfront on that..??

I'll post more pics later, but attached is the group less Scott & Bob - who were elsewhere (another picture later)... And oh - I wasn't in the picture either as I take my best pictures from "behind the lens"...

As well- you won't ever be banned for quoting me... You'll just receive a severe warning..

Seriously - my thanks to all, and Jim - it was a real pleasure to meet you and many other new Parker Collector/Enthusiasts.. It's what PGCA and events like these are all about..!!

OK - attached picture - I think there were over twenty shooters...

John

I'm kind of glad I left the camera at home today. This is what was roaming around the back yard today.

Thanks fellas. I think it went extremely well and I am sure the club officers will be very pleased with the results of this shoot as well. At one point I counted guns and we had at least 44 guns there. B,C,D,G,P,V and Trojans, a Lifter, some Hammer guns, a couple of skeet guns, a double trap, a couple of SBT's and an EH and NH 10ga, and another standout was a 1/2 frame GHE with 26" bbls.

I have not made it home yet (still looking for my keys), actually I am at my ladyfriend Lisa's and we dined on the leftover lasagna. thank you.

20 Shooters shot a 100 target program consisting of 25 Skeet, 25 Trap, 25 Modern Skeet and 25 Wobble Trap. High gun went to Scott Kittredge with 89, I came in as Runnerup with 86 and Bill Janelle took 3rd with a 75. (Seems there is a home field advantage?).

Additional funds beyond the non-member round price went into a pot for the winner. (The MWSA treasurer will be sending Scott a 1099 shortly).

Seems Dave and Bob came to agreement and Bob now has a beautiful, practically like new 1 frame 12ga hammer gun. Beautiful gun Bob!

John Dunkle did not for some reason bring his AAHE Double Trap or his 410 VHE Skeet. We needed John's guns and without them I wondering if we really need John? (Just kidding John, really ).

Thanks to all who came from as far away as NH, Maine, Mass and CT to join in. it was a lot of fun.

(John did you give Scott his D grade damascus 20 back?)

Special thank you to Scott and Bob who changed a broken main spring on a skeet machine and kept the shoot going smoothly.

I'll put some more pictures up tonight or tomorrow.

It was a great shoot guys. My shoulder is a bit sore but I'm satisfied with my (poor) shooting after not shooting skeet or trap since September. I came in 5th after Dave Suponski's 4th. Mr. Dunkle shot his usual unbelievable score (I don't remember what it was but he was very entertaining). Pete, that's the real reason John is needed at the New Year's Day Shoot . . . . the entertainment factor.

In this picture he is asking for his seventh practice shot on station #1 High House.

You guys crack yourselves' up....

Actually - I loaned my - errrr - Scott's gun to the fellow below.. He's eleven years old, and coached by Tim - he was knocking them out sky. His name is Sam - and frankly, he's what the future of shooting Sports is all about... When I handed that DAM 20 show gun to him - I said something like: "..If you drop this - you'd better run fast, because if I can catch you.... And oh - don't worry, I'm old and can't run very fast...."

He took that Parker with a big grin....

This is Sam with that Parker....

More pictures coming....
