Default Passing of Jerry Smith “Mr. Damascus”

Friends - with deep regrets, our friend and long time collector and well respected dealer Jerry Smith has passed. He will be remembered as a gentleman & friend to all and is largely responsible for creating interest in Damascus barreled Parkers. Mr. Damascus.

Jerry was a friend and mentor to me. He always sourced many interesting and unusual things and loved his Damascus Parkers.

Jerry was a treasure and a pleasure to speak with. A fun fellow.

RIP Jerry

I helped him remain "Mr. Damascus" by removing a couple of steel barrel guns from his inventory.

RIP Jerry.

I was Jerry's neighbor, across a half mile of corn and soybeans, for about forty years. I knew him for years before we became neighbors in 1974. We met because of our love for Parker shotguns. Jerry missed out on much pleasure with his shotguns because he hardly ever shot them, at least as far as I know. He knew as much as anyone about buying and selling them however.

The little that I knew him, I asked Him why He kept buying Damascus barrel guns, with the danger's in shooting them. He said to Me, the more of them that I take off the market, the less chance of somebody getting hurt shooting them.
Rest in Peace, and God be with you.
