Sounds like a great time. That farmland sure looks a lot like southern York county or possibly Lancaster county PA to me? Cheers Marcus

It's nice to see some corn down around here. I think it will be a few more weeks before the corn on the farms I hunt starts to come down. Cheers Marc

The corn is being harvested around here now, I think it's do to the very dry conditions.

Mike:
That is good looking property. It is probably some of the neatest farm land I've seen in awhile. With land as clean as that it sure helps when you drop a dove to at least be able to see the ground and find him. I was going to guess southern Wisconsin but the barn design had too much Penn. Dutch design to it. The dove is indeed a humbling bird to hunt and shoot at and that is probably why they taste so good with a strip of bacon wrapped around them and cooked on the grill, accompanied by a good bottle of red. Laat week one of my grandsons, on his first dove hunt, asked "Are all flying game birds this hard to hit?" It is a great bird for to hunt since it is such a challenging wing shot. But every now and then you get one that just insists on coming in to you and that makes up for some of the misses. What gauge were you shooting? John |
