Default Hello From Texas

Hello Everyone

From Amarillo, Texas. Joined the group to get some information to help a friend out. She received a Parker when her Father passed and she asked me what it was worth, as I have a small gun business. When I started looking was not comfortable giving her a price due to the potential value of these shotguns.
From what I can gather and understand the details for her gun are below
Parker AHE
Damascus Barrels
SN 64612 and from I can find think this makes it 1891
Frame Size 1
Grade 2
Under the barrels the letters C2 and D4 both show up.
Will attempt to attach pictures.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome, Yancy. I am not near my serialization book, but will check the serial number for you later. I can say that an AHE in 1891 was the highest grade available. A grade 2, obviously four grades below that -- a big difference in potential value. Pictures will get you some great expertise, so we'll be looking for them.

Yancey, that is a GH grade. We would need many more high quality pictures to begin speculation about the value.

Focus on where the wood meets the metal, the position of the top lever, and few good shots of the receiver to judge case colors, and the barrels to get us started. Which by the way, are the bores good?

According to the serialization book, 64612 is a Damascus barreled grade 2 with a capped pistol grip and 30 inch barrels. There were no extra options noted.

Make sure that all the serial numbers match, and that the barrels are indeed 30 inches. You will at least have of some sense of the gun's originality. Condition will then be the determining factor.
