Default Repro dates of manufacture

Is there a table somewhere to determine date of repro manufacture by serial number?

Not that any of us have seen. But, that doesn't mean that information doesn't exist somewhere.

Weren't all of them built in just a 4 year period?

It is spelled out in one or more of the articles written about these guns. 20, probably 1988-1989. 28, 1989. 12, 1990-1991. Just a wild guess. There is no price advantage in any dating of these guns. Some of the PR serial number guns I have seen have lesser wood quality than most later guns. A #1 serial number may be an interesting find. Number 28-1 was recently mentioned on the net.

Generally speaking, Parker Reproductions were built from late 1983/early 1984 to 1989. But, I took Allen's question as asking for information similar to information supplied with a Parker Bros. factory letter via the gun's serial number. i.e. "Parker Reproduction S/N 20-XXXXX was ordered for stock on January 25, 1984 and was shipped on March 11, 1984 to Burger Bros. Sporting Goods in Minneapolis, MN"

Greg, thanks for bringing me back to reality and giving more correct dates for the early guns, 1983-1984. We have folders on file on this site and they may have dates included. Go to "home page", on left side of screen click on "Parker Grades" and scroll down through the Parker Brothers grades, to the Parker Reproduction section and you will find pictures of lots of Repro literature.

Would 20 ga Parker Repro ser nbr 0533 likely be a 1983/84 production?

As we lament the inability to obtain factory letters for our Repros, your guess is as good as anyone else's guess. My guess would be 1984.
