Default F Dumoulin & Cie Liege 20 gauge

I stopped by a very small mom and pop store a few weeks ago. On the rack of only 5 guns was a gun that caught my eye.
I asked to look at it and found it to be a Dumoulin 20 gauge SXS hammer gun with 30” barrels. Bores are excellent and overall very nice.
I made an offer and a quick call to the owner that had placed it on consignment was immediately accepted.
I was then shown the A&F case that came with it and told it had a cleaning rod also.
Upon getting home I realized there was a leather box that was in the case that included reloading tools as well as a spare firing pin.
The gun weighs 6 lbs 1 oz.
I will try to shoot it this week.

What a nice find!

Phil, I bet you will love it. I love to shoot and hunt with my 30" 20 ga hammer gun.

Thanks for the positive comments. The case was a nice surprise to get with the 20 gauge for sure.
Even more was when I went to start conditioning the case leather and realized there was a small leather case that I could remove. I had never seen this before.
It blew me away that the small leather box was able to slide out, and inside was the reloading items with a special wood handed wrench and a spare firing pin.
Thanks to Dr Drew I learned the barrels are fluid steel that were nitro proofed with 2 1/2” chambers, and it was made in 1928.

Default Belgium hammer

Phil u done it again how can I ever catch you! I had a 20 ga London hammer a Rossen I took to Argentina and wore out my thumb cocking it on doves. It never missed a beat and wish I had it back it was a Cyril Adams gun cased and a beautiful lite low hammergun? I had a LOM like yours and had a separate box made like that one to hold cleaning tools , oil and other misc stuff. Pretty neat you found one like that I'd say that's pretty rare!!! There is a name for that style LOM made by Redhead but I can't remember what it was called. Pat Lien in our group will know? Oh well glad I have two dive watches coming tomorrow I just bought and will wear them maybe even one on each arm. Haha Enjoy

It is an Elliott style case I do believe?
