NORTHERN SXS CHALLENGE RESULTS

The last shots have been fired and the annual Northern SxS Challenge is officially in the books. We had some weather challenges Thursday and Friday but there was enough time between the showers and downpours for the guys and gals to shoot a LOT of targets!!! Here is a listing of all the award winners. The Preliminary events each had HOA and RU trophies as did the Main Hammer and Hammerless. Thanks to all who came out to shoot and to all the trappers and rangers who made this a successful event. A thank you to the vendors who came out and to all those who hung out and camped with us for the weekend!!

What was the total attendance this year, was it an improvement from last year? Given the distance I elected to stay home given the weather forecast, glad you got a break in the weather for it.

Thought we might see you there Pete. Anthony Pilloti, Dan Myshin, and myself made the trip on Saturday. Mixture of clouds and sun plus high humidity made it tough for me. I think I brought home some mud from the "Rock."

Team Parker consisted of Jeff Kuss, Mike Smith, Anthony Pilotti, myself, and another gentleman. I didn't get a chance to introduce myself to him. Hopefully Mike will post his name and a picture of the team. Team Parker was the low team but only 5 targets out of 2nd place. They were challenging 5 stand targets, even the Smith team lost quite a few. I shot really bad in the shoot off, I think Mike got tired of calling "lost a pair" on me.

68 shooters shot for trophies. There were 261 individual events shot for score, 41 course events shot "For Fun", 17 "For Fun" 5-stand rounds too. THANK YOU DOUBLE GUN SHOOTERS!! We also had a good time Saturday evening banging steel with some civil war era .50 cal black powder Lefever sniper rifles!! Life is good.

I went to the PGCA table on Saturday , the table skirt was set up as well as the banner but nobody there. I met Morris Baker there and he talked to me about my recent purchase of a 16 VH
