Default Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915

Does anyone have a Parker Brothers shotgun known to have been exhibited in this 1915 International Exposition according to your research letter or provenance accompanying your gun when you acquired it?

Page 619 of The Parker Story alludes to this Expo and indicates that AH Fox had a large display there but there are no surviving Parker Bros. records that would support Parker Bros. having a display there.

One would think that with A.W. duBray, Parker Brothers' west coast salesman residing in San Francisco, Parker Bros. would most certainly had a well stocked display in this exposition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Default Fox Exposition Guns

Here are a few of the Fox guns that went to the 1915 Expo. As you can see many of them were off to A&F afterwards.

Did you ever get a research letter on that gun?

While the A.H. Fox Gun Co. made a big deal about their award there --

The big boys were there too. It appears everyone who showed up won something!! Insert in the 1915-16 Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. catalog --

Parker folk.

As a result of complaints by several Fox members ....I have been asked by management of the Fox Collectors association to remove the historical records information I posted above.

I had hoped it would promote an informative discussion amongst both forums. Rather...it seems several members have nothing better to do then complain. I strongly disagree with the request but Not wanting to create a big issue I have removed the pics.

Best regards

James

Thanks James.

No good deed goes unpunished. Funny how that often seems to be the case.

Unbelievable actually. Who knows if my post might have prompted some members here who are Not Fox members to actually jump over to their site to take a look.

Instead....complaints.

I quess I am missing something, but, on what basis or for what good rational reason would there be objection to posting that info??
