That's got to be an interesting looking gun at least. An 18 bore muzzle loader with 40 inch barrels???!!!

Thanks
Oh yes he is going to be super bummed at this news as he was planning on selling this gun to pay some bills. Can any of you put a value on it? It is very poor condition and as the pic's show, has been soldered and covered in a lacquer of some kind.
Thanks again... Joe |

Dean,
Maybe I'm crazy as the pics are a little grainy, but I believe that's a british proof mark isn't it? In that shape, if the stock isn't all busted, a couple hundred bucks would probably wear it out if you could find somebody looking for something to hang over the fire place. Destry

Thanks to all of you for your expertise, I would never try to fire this thing but it does look very cool. I may pick it up from him and clean it up for a display piece if he has the presence to come back to reality on what it is actually worth.
You guy's are both great, thank you again for the help... Joe |

I really can't make them out but you would certainly know better than I in recognizing British proof marks so I'll gladly defer to you on that.
