Everything in the pic seem to have price tags on them... may we presume this piece went home with you?

sadly no, or else there would be better pictures i didn't write it down, but I think his not sure I want to sell it price was in the $3400-3500 range he generally has nice stuff, I still kick myself for hesitating on a 28 bore percussion from a few years ago that was gone when I went back. But I have bought a few from him including this 15 bore that is not too embarrassing to be seen with

That flint double is too cool! I would love to find one at a show. Oh man the rabbit hunts to be had and puddle jumping wood ducks with that would be too neat. I hate squirrels enough to fog up the woods with one too. Thanks for sharing and getting me excited for the coming seasons

That is something I would like to get at some point. I might have had to take that one home with me. I have a "few" percussion doubles(10, 12,14, 16 and 20 gauge). I have a 10 gauge double flint fowler that is a beast of a gun with 40" barrels.
A small bore double flint I could take out once or twice a year would be wonderful. Someone had one on GI that was a 20 gauge(22 gauge actually) that I should have bought. I talked to them a few times, but they were firm on their price. I wish I would have just written the check as they say... |
