Default PH Trigger Guard Restoration - Help

I’m in the process of returning my PH serial number 144,983 to the field. As part of the journey, I want to repair her trigger guard which was abused during a very old repair. I have a engraver who is going to tig weld and repair the hole, and then recut the serial number and border engraving. Here is my problem, I can’t seem to find any images of the numbers 9, 8, and 3 for him to use in the restoration. The 144 is readable, but a portion of the 9 and the 8 and 3 are gone. Would anyone who has any of these digits in a comparable grade Parker be willing to share images of their trigger guards? Thanks in advance. Jim

That’s got to be welded, filed, polished, re-engraved and nitre blued.

If it were mine I would send it to Geoffroy Gournet. He knows exactly what those numbers need to look like.

If it is welded, it HAS to be rust blued.

Weld will not take nitre or hot blue evenly. It will look like crap.

Rust blue covers a weld fine.

Thanks Brian, I didn’t know that.

You may find these examples helpful.

I will note that the engraving pattern on your guard is typical of a V grade. Not a P.
