2021 Grand American Competition Announcement
There were two competitors who scored 97/100 in the Class-D Doubles Championship so it was determined to have a twenty target shoot-off.
One shooter went 18 straight before he missed a clay while the other went 19 straight making our own John Davis, winner of the Georgia State Championship, now the 2021 Grand American Class-D Doubles Championship!!
The Ref said he had never before seen a SXS with double triggers, a vent rib and beavertail forend being shot in competition... (let alone Winning the Class-D competition!)
John Davis, Vice President of the PGCA and formerly president, has ALWAYS represented the PGCA in the best way, that of a true gentleman. He has always shown what a "gun club" can be by his actions and his dedication to good leadership. Here in this Grand American he has shown the world what it is to shoot and represent a classic American SXS and the organization dedicated to preserving the history and knowledge of all things "Parker".
He has made hundreds, maybe thousands of shooting folks more aware of the Parker Gun.... And that's a GOOD Thing!!

Great write up Dean! Congratulations and great shooting Mr Davis.
I shoot in a local trap league involving numerous clubs in the Merrimack Valley here in MA. One thing I noticed over the years is people may not always remember my name when I shoot against an opposing club BUT they always do remember what gun I shoot. I shoot a 1924 Winchester '97 Black Diamond Tournament grade.
As Dean said, you sir made an impression on many people winning this. They may not remember your name as time goes by BUT they will always remember that you shot a PARKER.
