Default Books to sell How to ship?

I have several Books on Parkers from an estate. I will list them here as soon as I figure out the best way to ship them. I do not like shipping ground as it is so slow.
Priority? - a little pricey maybe.
Book rate ? would be slow also I presume

Please advise as to your ideas on best way to ship books.
Thank you,
Dale

The best way for books is USPS Media Mail. By far the least expensive, but the slowest. 2nd best is USPS First Class mail (up to 16 oz). Almost as fast as priority, but with weight limit. Priority mail you may find a flat rate box depending on the book size, but with or without flat rate priority mail will cost you.
Anything else including express mail, UPS, or FedEx will cost more.

you might offer the buyer the option of which they want to pay for

media - slow and cheaper

or priority - a bit more but faster

It really doesn’t matter a whole lot how long it takes to ship a book. Buyers know that a private seller can’t match Amazon’s speed without undue expense. If the buyer wants the book quickly he should be willing to pay the shipping charges commensurate with extra fast delivery that’s up to him. We all want our Parkers to spend as little time as possible in shipping, and heaven forbid it should spend a weekend in some loading dock or warehouse...
Books are not Parkers - shipping time shouldn’t matter so much. I’d be willing to wait a couple of weeks or more for a book as long as I was given a tracking number.

Make sure you ship it wrapped in plastic wrap or plastic bag. Had a book shipped in a box that sat on my stoop in a rain storm. Fortunately I found it before it was damaged.

I waited a year and a half for a book. Made the reading all the more sweet
