My new Parker.

Picked up my new to me Parker today and was asked to post some pictures. 16 Gauge 28" barrel. I'm totally new to the double barrel world and I'm open to all advice. My goal is to have it checked over by a gunsmith and do some hunting with it. I'm very excited to be a part of this community. Thanks!

That is a very nice example of a lightweight Parker that should serve you well in the field providing that the barrel wall thickness is in the useable thickness and light loads are used.

Nice 0-frame 16-gauge PH!! Congratulations!!

By the serial number it is a 1906 vintage gun. I stare at this picture and can't make up my mind if that is a 1910-style Bolt-Plate which would mean the gun was returned to Parker Bros. at some point after 1910.

Dave, that’s exactly how it looks to me too. A pinned and shouldered 1910-patented bolt plate.
