Default Southern RI Parker Shoot?

Hello Everyone,

I have been thinking about trying to organize a Parker shoot at the sporting clays place that I go to all the time and has helped keep me outdoors and shooting during these challenging times.

If there is interest, I was thinking a Saturday or Sunday in March. This would be at Peace Dale Shooting Preserve in South Kingstown, Rhode Island: https://www.pdshootingpreserve.com/

I mentioned this to one of the owners the other day and they he seemed interested and willing to help make it a great event. I really like the 2 courses they have and the owners/staff are friendly/helpful. We would still have to watch the weather, but it should be a good time for us Parker folks to get together.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay, looks like a nice place. I would be interested if you organize a shoot in March, depending to the date.

Thanks

If I'm around I'll drive out for sure. It's only about 5 hours for me, which is nothing if my wife wants to go hit Providence for a day. She used to live there.

Keep us posted Jay. I'll make it if I can.

This is off to a great start! I'll see what the interest is throughout the week and then float a few date arounds. I was thinking mid to late March, but I work with everyone to find a date that works.

Andy, I thing you mentioned you like to saltwater fly fish? While it will still be too cold in March, you would be a stones throw from some amazing striper fishing. Things usually start on that in mid to late April. There are however a few nice fly shops you might want to visit if you make the trip.

I'll keep everyone posted and I am optimistic we can make this happen.

Thank you,
Jay

Thank you Jay! I have never fished for stripers but have to give that a shot this year. Buddy of mine has a home in RI and we're tentatively planning a weekend this spring.
