Parker loads from the 1910 Small Bore pamphlet. DuPont powder was smokeless. The distance v was measured was 100 ft. Muzzle v would be higher.
The loads were for fluid or composite barrels.

Drams were drams equivalent.

Seems to be fairly equivalent to what we can buy today. I’m not familiar with down range velocities but can we surmise the MV from the given 100 feet V?

Bruce, the 2 3/4 dram, 7/8 ounce 20 gauge load that is not recommended and is not loaded by the loading companies is a bunch of bunk. My old 32" 20 from that era (1915) was ordered to shoot 3 dram, 1 ounce loads and Parker Brothers honored the order and built the gun.

Bill, sounds like you are saying your gun was special order and configured for a specific and presumably abnormal load. About that time Parker and other makers were experimenting with 20 ga duck guns. Some people do the same today.

My understanding is that the Small Bore pamphlet load table was directed to standard loads of the day.

Bruce, at 1350 fps there is a time warp and the shot actually arrives before the pheasant flushes. It’s simple physics.
