Default GH buttplate ?

Hello All,

I'm installing a reproduction dogs head buttplate on my 1905 mfr.
GH shotgun. It's a no. 1 framed gun with no spur. should the plate
read "Parker Brothers" or just "Parker" ? Thanks for any help.

Best regards,

Jeff

Yes, a 1905 manufactured gun would have a spur. The no. 1 frame sized plate has Parker and Brothers. It will be just a dogs head with a bird in its mouth.

Thanks James and Brian. This gun obviously has a replaced Parker buttstock
of a lower grade. Lower line per inch checkering and non-fancy wood grain.
Some of the older GH guns posted on here have just amazing jaw dropping
wood. Makes me really wish this one hadn't been replaced at some point.
Maybe I'll install a plate that will fit the stock just to finish it.

Best regards,

Jeff
