Default Custom VH Upgrade

I didn't know what topic to post this under so I just did it here. I had to share this with everyone because we may never see one like this again...

I have no dog in this race so have at it and lay all the praise on it that it deserves. Too bad these cell phones don't capture the true beauty of these things. No I didn't buy it... I may be sorry later.

Dean that gun is all you my friend. If anything screamed Romig it's that gun. I would make this modification once you get her home and that is to trash that ugly recoil pad and fit it with a Morgan adjustable pad. That coupled with the comb and you can dial it right in. i can 100 straights in your near future.

PS If its a 12 don't forget to port the barrels...mabe some Briley screw in chokes

I can see that I'm in the wrong business. I need to sharpen up my adze and chainsaw and go into the stock making business!

Totally OT, but I have a friend who chops (not turns) out hand-made wooden bowls with an adze. He goes to a lot of craft shows to do demos along with his neighbor, who happens to make damascus knives. So naturally, they worked a deal and now he has a damascus adze. Talk about cool!

Default Try Gun

I think I saw this gun in Rutland about 12 years ago, in company of a more conventional try gun also built on a VH frame. The the stock and metal work were not adaptations of commercially available parts but apparently made by the gunsmith / fitter. My guess is that this one was an attempt at a competition dimension try gun.The butt plate is adjustable, as I remember.

Best, Austin

Hey guys?

Can you pleeeze take this off-line, as it sure looks like this thread took a "left turn"?

Not-to-mention the fact that Dean found his "treasured" Parker at KTP - which - you noticed - he visits only when I'M NOT THERE!!!

Thanks and best to all!

John
