Cost for bluing a barrel set will vary depending on the amount of shop hours needed for inspection, preparation, polishing & necessary repairs like loose ribs or dents corrected. Just about every gunsmith I've dealt with will quote a basic price with the caveat of any extra work needed will be billed at the hourly shop rate. Most will want you to send them the barrels so they can inspect them and then give an in the ball park quote from what they are seeing with that particular set.
My best advice is to call the smith you're considering using and talk it over with them. |
