vh stock Question

vhe 1924 straight stock has an old recoil pad. can this be orignal? serial #209602. thanks Gerald

Gerald ,If you go to the home page and click on Research Letters ,you will be able to see there are records for serial #209602, If you order a letter ,it may mention the recoil pad ,or it may say how the gun left the factory .It is possible the pad is correct ,especially if it is a period style pad ,and has similar wear as the rest of the gun. The stock books of that era are unlikely to mention a recoil pad.
