Long barreled straight stock 20s are special but this one is needy, which makes the value very subjective. Wish I could help.

I don't know about value Harry but to me the gun is worth between 2-2.5K if I had the chance to buy it especially if the barrels are sound and the chokes are original. Go for it man, if not let me know.

Is the receiver blued or just tarnished? I agree with Daryl on the price. Unfortunately, you have to allow for further wood work in your pricing. The pin in the cheeks needs to be removed and reset. At the same time, the cheeks should be milled and veneered and the stock refinished. Think $500 to $1000. Shoot it like it is and the stock will break at the cheeks if not the original break area. What is on the butt? Are you sure the dents don't need to be rerepaired? Good luck, my friend.

I agree with Daryl and Bill on value but I would be more in the 2,000 area. As Bill pointed out the stock has to be addressed and those are not Remington colors and can't really see if the receiver is blued or what.

My rough estimate would take you closer yo $2K to fully restore this gun. Still worth the in e
Investment in my lowly opinion. |

Here is another picture. I'll ask permission to see if I can remove the rust on the gun. I was going to use 3in1 oil, 0000 steel wool and light pressure. Any other thoughts on removing rust?
