Thank you Brian, yes it is a work bench carpenter vise and is made for work bench waist height, the vise is in excellent condition.

very cool and in great shape, i am jealous
i have a similar Record woodworkers vise on my bench- it gets used a lot

Tom, other than the handle being a bit shorter than normal, and the red end caps, that handle is just as it left the factory. The larger version had a metal handle.
