The top gun is a vh one frame 12 with 28" barrels. The same gun I shot with the boys in South Dakota. The lower gun is a gh damascus gun with 28" barrels.

I'm not sure witch looks better, the guns or the ducks.
Nice shooting Jeff.

High enough to clear the horse weeds along the bank!

That's a great thing....shooting mallard (any ducks, but especially mallard) with a vintage shotgun. What type of shells and shot size do you like for jump shooting?

I started shooting a Parker two years ago and really like hunting ducks with it. Hardly ever use anything else and have a gun safe full of lonely shotguns.

Nice ducks.

I was 15 or 16 and wading a shallow prairie slough hoping to jump shoot ducks. My little sister was out as well, she would have been 11 or 12. I had Dad's VH 145522. I had never connected on ducks and it happened jump shooting. I got several. My sister wanted to shoot the gun, so I gave it to her and told her to hold it very tight into her shoulder and point it up about 45 degrees. She did. She fired. She splashed on her butt in the slough. Live and learn but we did go home with ducks.
