Default Putting the "new" VH 20 to work

I bought this gun last spring as a grouse and woodcock gun. I was able to get our for the first day of woodcock season in VT and was lucky to have some good hunting. The VH has been christened. Here is a pic of the dog on point and the results.

Steve,

That is a beautiful gun and it sure looks like it is being put to good use. Congratulations.

Oh well, I missed the first weekend of grouse season in Vermont and once again, I missed the woodcock opener too.

I'm driving up on Friday afternoon.... alone.... and will try to get some leg-stretchin' in before sundown.
Sunday at about 10 a.m. I'll be headed over to Craftsbury to attend a good friend's Ordainment in the little church there and I'll have to decide whether to hunt in the morning in a tweed jacket and tie along with my tattered Filson chaps and rush right to the church or forego hunting in the morning altogether..........

I think the newly ordained minister, Alan will understand if I'm decorated with burrs and twigs with scratches on my cheeks wearin' my chaps and boots.... After all, he's a grouse hunter too!!

Congrats on the VH's first blood. It's a nice looking gun and a straight grip to boot it doesn't get any better thasn that.

I'm heading north tomorrow with Gunner's Gun and the new CHE 20. I'm sure Daisy will do her best to provide the opportunities the rest will be up to me

Steve-Congrats on a great first day of grouse hunting in Vt.............NH is a little sketchy this year, but there are some birds and the Woodcock are plentiful....................And Dean, of course you need to go hunting and show up with leaves on your hat and hopefully grouse in your game pocket
