Default this one parker

I shot my 1st of 2 allowed NH turkey today. Rained about 3 inches over night so my bird rolled around in a lot of water for his last bath. Shot with my NH 10 ga at 20 yds with 1 1/2 oz 6s. 20 lbs, 1 1/16 spurs and 9 in. beard ,Not a pretty bird

There are many ways to define "pretty," and that looks like an awfully pretty gun and (very dead) bird.

I have had some memorable hunts this season, but no birds to show for it.

So you shot a "pre-washed bird"? Nice going Scott. Now do your second bird with a 20.

Hunted all morning in a very cold rain and wind with my son, trying to get his first bird. Had birds all around us, but no gobbling and no response to my calling. There were 4 jakes and 3 longbeards within 200 yds of us, but couldnt pull them in. A coyote running thru the field didnt spook them off either.

Proving the old adage “A wet bird never flies by night.” - (nor in daylight either)
