Default Ithaca Hang Tag

I took some pictures of Hang Tags original to an Ithaca hammer gun, I noticed the recommendations on how to load buck shot and thought of Craig T and Charlie Cleveland.
It would be cool if the shipping date were noted but no such luck, it dates as being an 1896 gun.

I would love to compare hang tags with any other makers hang tags if anyone cares to share some they have.

Neat tag. That would be from an 1896 vintaged NIG. Here is the tag from a very late Flues Model Ithaca --

Here are a couple of Remington Arms Co. hang-tags from Model 1889 hammer guns. Of 1892 vintage --

Of 1902 vintage --

Here is the Union Metallic Cartridge Co. page for their SMOKELESS shells to go with that 1902 Remington Hammer Double tag --

Here's pictures front and back of the hang tag that came with my early A, 12 gauge Fox, serial number 19823. Probably made around 1914 +/-.

Note that the tag says it's an ejector gun. It's not. It has standard extractors.

It also came with the Blue Ribbon tag.

The gun is as crisp as the hang tags.

Very interesting there Dave & Bill.

That is a beautiful A grade there Bill, I wonder where or how that gun and or the cards survived in such great condition.

Stan,

For the last 51 years, almost half its life, it's been sitting in my gun rack. I've never shot it and probably never will.

It's nice to know you have owned a gun longer than anyone else has owned the same gun. I have owned my 28 gauge VH for 62 years. Someone else owned it for only 56 years.

Some years ago, Jay Shachter marketed an early Wayne & Bristol Streets Ansley H. Fox A-Grade, serial number 1025, with the hang-tag.

Some years later a poster on the AHFCA web site pictured a really early B-Grade, serial number 5, with the hang-tag. These are 1905-06 vintage guns.
