The moose have been coming in and browsing the piles of freshly cut birch branches in my lower yard just 50ft or less from my window. There was a different cow in yesterday. They seem to be able to smell the fresh cuttings from a long ways off. They need this; we're headed for -35F tomorrow night.

It was 50 degrees here in northern Indiana today. Very strange.
