Default Parker Reproduction Slip Cover

When the Repro's were originally sold and shipped through Reagent, were all cases supplied with the additional slip cover shown in the photo's?

To my knowledge — and only gathered through personal observation and not garnered from those that really know is that the earliest Repro cases were supplied with the “emmebi” identified light tan-colored covers and soon followed by the canvas with leather trimmed covers. I was only aware of one or the other, but not both for the same case. What’s the story on how and where you came upon the case with both covers?

The C&L cover in the background appears to be the cover for your very rarely encountered Parker Reproduction 2-gun motor case, right?

Thanks, Greg. I have a 2-barrel case that came to me with no canvas cover at all. Instead, it's outfitted with a slip cover similar to the one shown in the photo.

The slip cover shown in my photo was tucked in the motor case that you've asked about. Made no sense to me when I received it because it doesn't fit the motor case, but it does fit a 26" single gun case..so, I paired it to the 26" PR case that's photographed.

As to the canvas cover that's also in the picture - yes, that's the cover for the motor case.

Here you go, Patrick. I was very fortunate to find this case and I know of one other like it. This one is in great condition. It would be interesting to know how many of them were produced.

I also saw the 2-gun case that Josh Loewensteiner listed in the members section somewhat recently - I think that's the only case made in that style I've seen.
