I know there are other members that own RBL's. I have two. Both guns have straight grip stocks. Both have had stock problems. It seems after 200 to 500 rds of target loads (factoryAA's) the stock retaining bolt came loose. The 12 developed 4 hairline cracks at the wrist. The 28 trigger guard started to raise the wood at the the point. Both had to be sent back for repair. Has anyone else had any problems?

I have a straight grip 16 with a vent rib. No stock problems but I shot the vent rib loose @ 475 rounds. CSMC fixed it right away and no problem since. The low style vent rib was pretty much a waste of money in my opinion but that sort of thing happens when you order blind. Over all I like the gun though.

Thanks for the reply. My guns have been repaired by CSMC and no problems. I really like mine also. I shoot them well.

Had one of the early 20 gages..trigger must hav neen a 12 lb pull.
Sold it at a loss same month I received it.I am spoiled because of Parkers and the W 21s.

I have one of the early RBL 20's (SN #198) had an issue which CSM coreected quickly and have enjoyed the gun ever since.

I've got all four and they are doing fine, with the fifth one on order. My straight-gripped RBL-16 has become my go to Pheasant gun. It got more days afield last season than my "meat-in-the-pot" 1914-vintage, straight gripped, 12-gauge, A-Grade, Ansley H. Fox that has been downing Pheasants for me since 1966.

Question, Could you order the Launch Edition 20 RBL in different weights or were they all the same weight? Thanks Gary

I don't think there was a specific weight option. Stock congfigurations, barrel lengths and the addition of the self-opener all affected the weight

My guns were ordered by configuration. They are 28in barrels, splinter forend, english straight grip stock, with the assisted opener in 12 and 28. The 12 has screw-in chokes and the 28 chokes are fixed. I am not sure what they weigh.

Gary,

CSMC never offered any options on barrel lengths for the RBL Launch (20 gauge) other than 28".
