Another big event. We had 48 Parkers on display in a triple booth. We had some rare or unusual guns including a rifled barrel guns, a DuBray gun, another with bronze liners, four Bernard C's, a rare DHE 20 with original 24" barrels and another with 32's, a New York Parker salesroom gun., an internal hammer sidelock Parker.
Photograph from the Esterville Gun Club of the Fred Gilbert shoot.
An unfished Parker-Hawes 6/7 wt rod from 1936. One of a total production of 330.
We were next to the L C Smith fellows.
We sold many raffle guns tickets, the last few winners have been on tickets bought at this event.
Many thanks to the fellows and gals who worked the booth and helped create interest in Parkers. Some came from the West Coast to Des Moines to help.

Bruce- if not for volunteers like you, Dave Weber, Charlie Herzog, Jeff Kuss, Dick Dow, Russ Lindsay, Col. Jeff Christie and Ed Morgan, our organization would be nothing. Thank you for stepping up and helping to make the PGCA what it is.

Agreed but we also have Dean, Dudley, Charlie, Destry, Edgar, Dunkle, Mark Ouellette and dozens more that make contributions to make this a wonderful forum for the organization. Bob

Bruce - Thanks very much for the great pictures and especially for the hard work you and all the others there do to make it a successful event for the PGCA. I know that level of commitment and I know what it takes to make these things happen. Again, thanks!

Bob,
Just to clarify what Josh said, by thanking these members for there contribution in no way detracts from what others do for our organization. It takes a great deal of dedication to give the time and expenses involved in traveling long distance's and hauling around their valuable possessions to display for our members and other peoples enjoyment and to represent the PGCA in such a positive way. Some of these guys have been doing it for a long time and it would be nice to see other members in different parts of the country join in and help. It really is a lot of fun to meet others with similar interest and have gun overload for a couple of days.

Josh & Larry: I agree. I probably get as much enjoyment as most in reading and seeing the detailed photos provided by them. I may never get to see some of the high quality Parkers they kindly share photos of with us.
Sorry. I did not mean to diminish their efforts or what they do for the organization. I could have been more descriptive to relay that message and apologize for not doing so. Did I say that I'm red faced? Bob
