Default A REALLY boring afternoon...

Ever have one of those days? You're restless but it's too lousy to be outside so you wonder around the place looking for something to do but nothing grabs your interest? That was me recently. I was standing in front of a bookshelf hoping for a book to grab me when I noticed that the accumulation on the shelf made a little still life. So, here're a few shots from my boring afternoon .

What a nice collection of book titles!!

I've been thinking of thinning my books out but it's really hard to make the commitment to do it. If our guns could only talk I think we wouldn't need so many books...

I should start thinning a lot of stuff down too but I just can't do it. Someone else is gonna have to do it after I'm gone!

Phil, I'll bet there's a good memory or thought for each of those "possessions." I agree with you -- enjoy...and let someone else worry over it all after we're gone.

My problem would be that IF my guns could talk, my shooting prowess would be significantly diminished(!)

Phil...I have that exact setter statue. I bought it at a Palm Beach Antique show about 15 years ago. The seller said he bought a large lot of window/store display items when Nieman Marcus had a big sale in Texas. No proof..but nice statues...Jerry...

When I need something to do I just look in the gun room.....and usually walk right back out I've been loading shells mostly 16's and 20's now I'm on the hunt for my load data for the 416 Taylor. It's nowhere to be found and I'll probably have to start over

I recognize some of the titles of your books and even have some of the same ones esp those from Amwell Press.
