Default Number 104 - Part of it anyways

I recently picked up this left side lock assembly on eBay. It is from the 104th gun built by Parker Brothers. No doubt a higher grade example. I really liked the shaping of the hammer! The plate has some bad pitting at the rear, which half obscures the engraving of a dog.
As is typical of very early guns, the lock is non-rebounding with a half-cock safe. And it has a 4 pin (screw) bridle also typical of guns of grade 3 and higher.

I asked the seller if he had any other parts of the gun, sadly he did not.

Brian, That is nice, I might have seen that on Ebay as well. I like how Parker Bros. is written out. That would have had to be a nice early front action lifter for sure...

I was watching that lock also but got busy and missed the ending. I’m glad you got it Brian. The hammer alone was worth it.
