A surprising amount of wear on the barrels considering the excellent shape of the frame. Nice gun.

Great looking gun, I have been somewhat looking for one in a 16. I posted pictures of my DS with ejectors (20ga) last week. I think I will have to get it back out and try to clean up the wood. It, too appears to have fairly nice wood, but now has little finish left. Thanks for posting those great photos.

Yes, the bluing on the barrels could be in better shape. It was all there, just thin and a bit scratched up. The colors were pretty much worn on the bottom of the frame. But some were still there, nothing like the sides though. Like I said, the frame was coated with shellac, so even though the gun was used, the frame finish was well preserved.
This DS was also very light. Weighing in at a out 6.5 lbs.
