Indeed!! So I guess it's a common motif? Do you know if it shows up on later hammer guns? This is my first hammer gun beyond a G grade, and I've not seen too many Grade 3 engraving patterns (at least the bottom of the frames). I'm curious about this sort of domestic scene...

this was from the grade 3 10 i just sold
not sure how common the pattern is

I just checked mine again. It has only two pheasants (best I can tell through the magnifier). I guess some vermin got in through the fence a took one out. ;-)
I've seen some engraved-to-order more unique and domestic scenes, but I still find this motif intriguing if it is, as it appears, a common pattern. |
