I love the case! Fit is very nice! WOW you scored a great $300.00+ case because it fits your G 12 gauge makes it a super great case. I fit english cases for Parkers and it is a lot of work but when a gun fits that nice its worth it. Congratulations!! When I get my case done for the GH 12 I picked up this past weekend I'll post pictures. I love your GH also!!

What you have is an old English trunk case, refitted to a Parker. The original gun is long separated from it. The security straps are replacements -- and installed backwards. Strap tails should face the lid hinge.
W. T. Grant embossed on the lid is the identity of the original owner... whomever that might have been. Without the original gun/maker's identity, that person's identity is virtually impossible to determine. Nonetheless, the case is very nice indeed. Although this one could well benefit from a nourishing treatment of Pecard dressing to preserve the leather. |

I realized it was a vintage case refitted but didn’t know it was English. Thank you John I am afraid you’re right on the difficulty of tracking down the original owner of the case (thanks for the tip Steve) however I did get lucky once before with a double gun case without the guns that I have. I think you helped me with that one too if I recall correctly or maybe on one of my English SxS or a Canadian Manton gun? I will take your advice on the Picard dressing. I have a local guy who does custom beautiful Western holsters and belts if I can track down some vintage brass buckles to upgrade the replacement straps. Whoever did the refit had some talent and was a Parker fan - I’m two or three steps away at least as the fellow I traded with didn’t know.
