Default old gun's first bird

it is still very thick around here, the result of most points is only sound. Got the older dog out for a quick run on his own this afternoon, and took the old DH along. I heard but never saw the grouse, but this woodcock was kind enough to make a break into the more open area.

first bird (not counting preserve training) for me with the 1889 DH,

he never did like possing and at his age no sense in insisting
