Default 16 gauge AA hull

I have a bunch of the old Winchester tapered 16 gauge hulls that are coming to their end as 2 3/4. I cut some down to 2 1/2 but can’t find any recipes at all for them. I’m wanting to load these 7/8. I have the Winchester 16 gauge 7/8 tapered wad. Do any of y’all have a recipe? Or can I use the very few 7/8 once recipes I’ve found that are for 2 3/4 in a 2 1/2 hull?

TIA

If you’re going to use that recipe you’ll probably need to use a different wad.

You can trim off the last 1/4" and roll crimp them using the same wad and recipe, however, if they're that old, the interior may have eroded if they have been loaded too many times.

Thank you. I was wondering if a 2 3/4 on a 2 1/2 would change up pressure

The only difference to the stack is the addition of an overshot card. A rolled crimp will be, on average, slightly less pressure than a folded crimp.
