If someone is serious about this gun he should order a research letter on it.
The forend does look questionable but the Grade 3 stock could be original. Dave Suponski has a Grade 2 with a Grade 3 stock and the letter supports it. .

Same seller has this one not with the "damaskis" barrels as the GH has but "twisted" steel barrels. 101098876
If they are twisted you probably don't want to shoot them. |

Again, the same seller has a L.C. Smith with a "Singer" trigger. Must have been made during WWII when instead of sewing machines they were making gun parts. 101092153
