Dean, acetone will not touch the repro finish. Not one bit.

I wonder where your remarks about acetone come from, from personal experience? Because it sure is not mine. And I regularly use acetone on all other sorts of finishes.

As you say, Heavy duty paint stripper will even hardly touch it. That will soften it some and then it has to be scraped off and finished with sand paper.

In regards to the question from the original poster. There is no point in using wax on a catalyzed urethane finish. It will not really do anything. Positively or negatively. It woukd just be a waste of your time applying it.
