Was going through some stuff and found this, from my first quail. I was maybe 12 or 13; my dad had gotten a couple of pheasants and I got a quail...nobody was more surprised than me that I actually hit it! Mom was the bird cleaner; seems funny to think that we just dumped our kill off on her but that's the way it was; in fact, I never cleaned a bird until I got married
. Anyway, mom fried up the pheasants that night and I had a fried quail all to myself. I opened this box and the foam rubber is about to turn to dust,,,
