Russ,When I did that little article for the PP on early 28 gauge Parkers with the help of Bill Murphy I learned that many of the early 28,s were built on 20 gauge "O" frames. I will have to go back and see when the "OO" frame was introduced but I am fairly certain that by the Remington era the "OO" frame was the standard 28 gauge frame.I know the Cliff Green four gauge set had the 29 and .410 made on an "OO" frame.

Buy if someone wanted a heavy 28 who knows?
